Ahmad Yusri Ramli has spent 22 years working in the power generation industry and is still currently involved with the industry. His direct experience includes :
- Managing Director of General Physics (M) Sdn Bhd, subsidiary of General Physics Corporation, the main operating subsidiary of GP Strategies Inc. USA, a NYSE listed company, from 1996 to 2010. General Physics Malaysia is involved with technical training, technical services and consulting for the Energy and Manufacturing industries.
- Lead Person for the Project Management team of a Japanese Consulting firm (J-Power, formerly EPDC) responsible for the Engineering, Procurement, Construction and Commissioning of the 2 X 500MW Coal Fired Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz Power Plant, Malaysia.
- Manage the Engineering, Technical services and Consultancy team for Laem Chabang Combined Cycle Power Plant Expansion project.
- Project manage the development of the system description and operating procedures of various power plants in Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia and the Philippines.
- Develop, conduct and/or implement operation and maintenance training, e-learning modules and learning management systems of various power and process plants.
- Involved in the implementation of Kapar Energy Ventures’ 500MW coal-fired power plant simulator.
- Improvement of power plant performance and efficiency by implementing a 700MW Coal Fired Boiler Drum Gage Study and Analysis.
- Manage an electrical maintenance team to maintain several of TNB’s hydro power plants with generation capacity ranging from 300kW to 100MW.
