Managing Chemical Risks with CHRA Global Performance Technical Consulting conducted Chemical Health Risk Assessment (CHRA) for selected learning and R&D laboratories at Faculty of Dentistry, Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia (USIM) Pandan Indah. The comprehensive assessment aimed to assess the effectiveness of current control measures including ventilation systems, personal protective equipment (PPE) and workplace procedures. CHRA also evaluate the potential health risks arising from chemical handling activities by students and staffs. The assessment recommended improvements especially workplace safety practices and regulatory compliance especially on ISO45001. The assessment was conducted by GPTC assessor, alongside with two consultants for a week. The week include one day walkthough and 4 days findings and recommendations report establishment. The report for findings and recommendations was presented in front of Faculty of Dentistry dean and Director of IROSH to effectively deliver verbal descriptive improvement suggestions. USIM Pandan Indah able to plan and execute improvement to close OFI and suggest controls for NCR. This would comply with OSHA 1994 and ISO 45001. Facebook Linkedin Whatsapp
